Psychotherapy is an interpersonal process which provides a curative, healing experience in a warm, caring setting. Most psychotherapy and counseling sessions focus on problem solving and are goal oriented. Often, Psychotherapy will teach people about their disorder or situation and during the process, the counselor may suggest alternative coping styles, ways to improve communication patterns, and identify the difficulties with inter-relationships.
